Summary of trial work and monitoring of farms using Correct Magnets during 2004.

A further successful year for farmers using Correct Magnets on their farm water supplies.
10 assessment herds with a total of 1,500 cows averaged an extra 1.7 litres of milk per cow per day and, where recorded, P. D. to first service increased from 54% to 73% Incidences of milk fever were virtually eliminated on the 10 farms (see Seale-Hayne trail results for reason). A controlled farm trial using adjacent herds, one as a control, saw the magnetised water herd produce an average of 2.4 litres of milk per cow per day more than in the adjacent non magnetised water herd. The delighted farm owner also reported a marked drop in cases of milk fever after the magnets were installed.

A fully controlled dairy trial took place at Seale-Hayne College at the University of Plymouth. Mid to late lactation Holstein cows given Correct Magnetically conditioned water produced 1.3 litres per cow per day more over a 28 day period than the control group. Fat and protein increased and SCC fell by 5.1%. The important result from this trial was that the pH of the drinking water, after magnetisation, fell by 0.2 but that no change was seen in urine pH. This reduction is probably responsible for our assessment herds dramatic fall in the number of cases of milk fever. A letter received in October 2004 from Mr. P. Blewett of Cornwall, informed us that after fitting Correct Magnets in November 2002, his milk yields per cow have increased from 6,200 to 8,000 litres, his calving index has fallen from 438 to 401 days, cows cleanse better, cell count has reduced by 20% from 250,000 to less than 200,000 and the cows look healthier. His conclusion “a small price to pay for such big reward”.

A visit to our stand at the Northern Ireland Winter Fair by Stanley Anderson, a very well known pig producer, who originally reported that magnetically conditioned water stopped tail and ear biting, was most informative. Stanley told us that since fitting the Correct Magnets incidence of milk fever in his pigs is virtually non existent, whereas prior to fitting the magnets milk fever was a regular occurrence and commercially very expensive to control.

A 75 week before and after trial conducted on a 200 sow breeder/finisher unit in Essex showed 6% improvement in farrowing rate, 4.5% increase in piglets per sow and 4% increase in litters per sow per year.

Farm trials using Correct Ring Magnets on vehicle fuel lines were done during the year. Fitting rings to tractors showed an average saving during ploughing of 25 litres of fuel per day, extra power and reduced smoke emissions. A mobile corn dryer saved 20 litres of diesel per day and showed a time saving of 1 ton per hour in drying time. A Ford 4000 doing regular dairy chores of chopping bedding straw etc saved 13.7% in fuel and 14.6% in time.

These results all go to show that Correct Magnets are a valuable tool in the farmer's armoury, and all produce profits which way outstrip the cost of the magnets. For further information, please contact Frank Thornton at the above address or by email at frank@correctmagnet.com.
