Dear Sir,

We are a small family business producing free range eggs. During 2004 we had new poultry house built on our home farm, completed in August of that year when the first flock of 12,000 16 week old Blacktail birds were introduced. Unfortunately the flock had not been de-beaked and a lot of stress was caused during de-beaking. Faults were found with the lights in the nest box areas during the early stages, and this caused further stress. The birds were also 200 grammes underweight when introduced. All the stress during this early settling in period resulted in a massive bout of feather pecking which continued through October, November and December. In early September when the flock was 20 weeks old and coming into full lay large fluctuations were found in drinking habits. Mortalities were obviously high during the period September to December whilst feather pecking was occuring.

On 10th December 2004 we introduced a set of Correct Magnets onto the water supply coming into the house and during the past month several things have changed dramatically. Water consumption has regularised with little or no daily fluctuations. Consumption of water has increased, on average by 112 litres per day (8.2%), during the 30 days after the magnets were fitted, compared to the 30 days prior to fitting. Feather pecking has stopped completely, the birds are looking healthier and leaving the house in greater numbers during the day. The birds have put on weight even though they are in full lay and are now 7 grammes overweight.

I am obviously very pleased with what we have been achieved since fitting the Correct Magnets. I wish I had known of them years ago. I would recommend them to anyone in the egg producing business as a small investment for a great return.
